12 Days of Halloween Day 3

Hello Friends!

I have been having so much fun making new Halloween Decorations for our home and trying new things...
I decided to give the glass jars a try with the Glitter to make Mason Jar lights.

I used the miniwax Polyarylic to coat the inside of the jar and then added my glitter.. .
I cut " Trick or Treat" from Design Space (Cricut) CTMH Cartridge "Artbooking".

I picked up the solar light lid for the jar at Michaels and I did not think it gave it enough light coming through the jar so i picked up a battery Votive Candle at Walmart and I liked the look from that  much better...
I was not able to get to clear of photo at night with it...

This is the solar light lid!

This is the one with the battery Candle from Walmart..

I tied a piece of green tulle around the rim and made a little bow...

I really love how this turned out and I am looking forward to making a couple more for Halloween... I am thinking one with a Pumpkin Face...

That is another one of my halloween projects for you.. .Hope you enjoyed and come back tomorrow for another fun halloween project..

Happy Crafting!
Any Questions please leave me a comment below and I will try to answer you and help you....

12 Days of Halloween Day 2

Hello Friends!

I am sorry I am late on posting Day 2 of my 12 Days of Halloween, Yesterday it was all set to post and something happened it never did ... So Here it is today...

I was over at SVG Cuts looking around and had to catch their sale this week, so I found this great Witches Shoe and Poison Bottles and thought that would be great to add to my Halloween decorations for inside this year....

I decided to try out the shoe. So here is my Witche's Shoe...

The Shoe is from SVG Cuts " Toil and Trouble SVG Kit"

This would make a great gift for a teacher or a co worker...

It is a simple and fast project.. I inked my edges with some white stazon ink to give it that eerie feel and look...

Make sure you stop by and check out all their wonderful kits

Thank you for Stopping by and Make sure to come back tomorrow for Day 3 of My 12 Days of Halloween....

Happy Crafting!

12 Days of Halloween Day 1

Hi Friends!

The leaves are changing and the air is cooler.. it is that time of the year... Fall has begun!
Fall is one of my favorite seasons ... love the smell of autumn in the air and the wood burning...
It is such and warm and cozy feeling...

I have begun to start my Fall and Halloween Projects...
I am finally going to start to decorate inside the house for Halloween, normally we only do outside but this year I am in the mood for something different...

I went to Michael's this week and picked up a few things and noticed that they had their pumpkins on sale for 60% off, well I couldn't pass that deal up...

So now what to do with this pumpkin, I wasn't sure if I wanted it for Halloween or for my Fall decor...
My youngest daughter asked if we could do something for Halloween with it... So that is what we did this morning...

I got the 6.5" Craft Pumpkin
Boo is from Cricut Cartridge "Holidays Through The Year Iron On"
I cut the image out at 3" H
I used a circle punch in 3 different sizes to cut the dots out of the vinyl...
Vinyl is outdoor vinyl ...

I used Purple and Green Tulle and Black fun Yarn to make a bow at the top...
This is a fun and quick project to do... it took under an hour to make it... and how cute it turned out...

Make one today and have fun with it!

Thank You for Stopping by Today!

Happy Crafting....

Music Is Life Blog Hop

Welcome to the Music is Life Blog Hop

We sang our ABC's as children loud and off key!
We rocked out in our bedrooms with our friends to our favorite tunes.
We slow danced awkwardly to that memorable ballet with the boy we crushed on. We walked down the isle in to the wedding march as we married the man of our dreams. We sang a sweet lullaby to our babies as we rocked them to sleep. We sing our favorite songs as we drive the kids to school, annoying them the whole way! Yes, music is Life! It's everywhere in our lives!
Join us as we celebrate the wonderful Life of Music!!

Our instruments have all been tuned...time for the show to begin!

Here is my project...
We went to a local fair a few weeks ago and we had our Middle Daughter with us and she loves Country Music and Aaron Tippin was appearing there for a fair concert and we thought she would enjoy it, so we surprised her by taking her to see him... It was her first time seeing a live artist singing.. Well while we were watching my husband decided to go get me one of his cd's and while he was there looking at all the stuff the lady told him that Aaron Tippin would be coming out after the show and signing autographs... so what a special surprise that was for my daughter and for me as well...

As we were getting close to meeting Aaron his lead guitarist was helping out by taking the pictures of the guest with Aaron and he asked if I wanted him to use my phone to take the photo and of course I said YES!!! He was talking to my daughter and she was telling him all about playing flute in school and how one day she wants to learn to play guitar and he smiled and told her he was about her age when he began and to follow her dreams she is the only one that can make them come true... and he gave her his Guitar Pick that he used that night...

So long story short, she was so filled joy and happiness and excitement that evening and I wanted to make sure she had a journal to mark all these wonderful experiencing in her life with her dream of music, so I found a Smash Journal on clearance and thought it was the best way for her to log her special events during her making her dream of music come true...

I going to work on it with her to get her started this weekend...

Here is the journal for her to start with... I am printing out some of the words to a few of his songs for her to add in here.

Here she is watching him on stage....

Lead guitarist taking a selfie with my phone and my husband photo bombing his picture ...
My husband, my daughter and myself with Aaron Tippin
My son and his wife meeting Aaron Tippin
Now it is time for her to make her memories and have her own keepsake that she can share with her family and friends ....
She is going to use my cricut and cut some things out to add to her smash journal and make it her own ...

She loves Music and she loves to scrapbook with me, so what a great project for her and I to do together to get her started and she will always have this special memory of Her and me and of course our love for Music...

So always remember music is very important to our young generation, they use music to help them in their adventures in life.. .support your local schools music programs... don't let them take it away from our children...

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed and come back again ...
I will be posting more pictures of her smash book to show what we have done to her beginning of her dream...

Count Down to Halloween

Time to get started on our Fall and Halloween Decorations and other projects..

My daughters asked me if we could have a "Count Down to Halloween" because we had one for Christmas...
How could I say no.. So here is what I created for Halloween Count down.

I bought the wood sign at Michaels and I used two different gray paints to paint the sign and then I cut a square out on my cricut to make the chalk board area for the days.. I cut the saying out in orange vinyl ..I had some of fun yarn left over from a project and used that for  the hanger...
I used chalk board paint for the square. I used the white paint and a fine tip brush to make the outline...

It was a fun and quick project to make and the girls are very happy with their "Count Down To Halloween Sign".

I hope you enjoyed todays project!
